So, as you’ve probably noticed, it’s almost Christmas. I’ve got Oogie Boogie blasting out my favourite ‘He’s ancient, he’s ugly’ line every 7 hours (which is the length of my Spotify Christmas Bangers playlist). I’ve also got a book out called Dear Father Christmas, which was published by Ladybird earlier this month and is getting great reviews (thanks Auntie Linda).
That’s why I’m writing today’s Substack! I’ve reserved the last handful of my pre-paid envelopes for my Adventures in Illustration subscribers. If you have a copy of Dear Father Christmas and you’d like a signed bookplate for it, just message me with your details. Completely free for my UK snowmies, but outside of the UK, I’d ask that you pay for postage (it’s just the cost of sending a standard letter).
I also wanted to share that I’ve joined Hive - my username is: maxleemac
Thanks for reading! Now I’m off to draw slime and compost with a cup of tea and a(nother) mince pie.
Bookplates! That's a blast from the past! The last time I thought of them was in the days of the Puffin Club, back in the '70s! Such a lovely way for a kid to feel connected to their books though...
